Ranked Arena
We have been evaluating some of the main problems of the Arena in terms of both the economy, boosting and enjoyment.
We have introduced an arena system which evaluates your skill based on your game quality, rather than game quantity, which will solve the majority of these issues for good.

The short version of differences between Normal and Ranked is that you will be able to play much less games in a day. It depends on the server's population, when you are online, of course, with no restriction on when you can queue besides when Ranked Arena is open, you may not be able to get a game if you've already played versus most players, or have already been in a team with most of them.

What's going on here is there is a limit on how many games you can play with someone, and against someone, based on your match history, the system will determine whether or not you are eligible to join a game with any of the other players in queue.

As an example case, let's say you and your 5 friends try and queue against each other. You haven't played any games in the last 24 hours, and you queue up. You get a match.
The match finishes. You try to queue again. You do not get a match, or you are matched with completely different teammates and enemies, if there is enough people in queue.

What this creates is a system which ranks players based on how well they played versus each opponent that has played arena, instead of how many games have you played in comparison to your competitors, and how many have you won.

The reward for winning a ranked arena is significantly higher, and the rules are much stricter.

Spectator Mode
You can now spectate arena matches, there is no level or any requirement on when you can join, besides requiring you to be in a safe area.
To join a random match, write the following command in game chat:

/spectate_arena

If there is a match active, you will be teleported to the match.
If there is no match active, and your system messages say "Command executed.", there is no match active.

To stop spectating, write the following command in game chat:

/leave_spectate

To spectate a specific match, you have to know at least one player in the match. If you do, and let's say its the character "Test" you can write the following command in game chat:

/spectate_arena Test
